"Arrest Fulani Herdsmen Carrying AK47 Rifles, Weapons" - Sultan of Sokoto Tells Security Operatives

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on security agencies in the country to arrest herdsmen found to be in possession of AK 47 assault rifles.

Speaking yesterday at a conference aimed at promoting inter-religious understanding among Muslims and Christians, the monarch described raffle-yielding herdsmen as criminals who should be treated as such.

Lamenting the high poverty rate among the teeming youth population, he stated that except a drastic measure is taken to address poverty, “We are definitely sitting on a time bomb much bigger than Boko Haram.”
He said, “There must be open dialogue on the variety of national issues, including the perennial power rotation, if not, we are definitely sitting on a time
bomb.

“Secondly, government at all levels must translate into tangible benefits for all Nigerians regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliations. Nigeria has all the resources to make life more pleasant for the people.

“It is also imperative to address the poverty problem as well as the need of the youth population both in the Northern states and the rest of the country, especially in a situation where half of the population is under 19 years of age, we are definitely sitting on a time bomb bigger than Boko Haram unless we take further actions to defuse it.

“Thirdly, there is the need for renewed determination to address the various crises in our country especially the Boko Haram crisis. The Federal Government must take very seriously, its security responsibility and effectively contain these crises but beyond that, dialogue must be initiated to begin healings to bring genuine understanding and reconciliation amongst the entire people.

“The Fulani herdsmen we all know since we were children, are not the same as the ones we see carrying AK47 and killing people because we see people go around killing innocent villagers in their houses and we don’t see cattle. The Fulanis we see in our villages, markets and other places, we only see them with sticks and cattle, we don’t see them with Ak 47.

“Any Fulani man that you see carrying AK47, killing people instead of carrying sticks and cattle, treat him as a terrorist and not as a herdsman. The government must wake up to its responsibility and turn this tide of incessant killings of people in their villages.”

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
