“We are sad to announce the passing away of a friend, former colleague and one of the baddest DJs in Nigeria, Michael Adedoyin aka DJ Midas,” the statement reads.
“DJ Midas as he is fondly called by his fans and loved ones was one of the pioneers of Disc jockeying in Nigeria. He was adored by many due to his jovial nature as well as his skills on the turntable.
“After working for many years at Silverbird's Rhythm 93.7FM, he went on to continue his career as a DJ, still delivering top notch entertainment to his many adoring fans. Our prayers are with his family at this time even as they mourn his death.”
