Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.

Even the stripping is not giving.

Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???

I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role.

Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church.

A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well.

But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water.

If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense.

Seriously, I am miffed.

The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣

"Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣

"So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi je...."

Motherfucker ni Kunle Remi. He is very good at what he does

Asides from Kunle Remi killing his role, nothing ate in this movie. Nothing.

Even the supernatural what what that Toyin was supposed to give didn't give.

It's a nice story but wo, e no give jare. Bad execution of the plot

It is mildly recommended.

It was a waste of data for me Sha.

She made a mess of the storyline @the end of the movie and the excess use of Deus ex machina to resolve the twirling plots she created was wack for a creative mind

  4. Thank God I didn't waste data

  5. I go watch then come back and drop my review, but I think Toyin needs to learn from Funke and not compete with her

  6. Oluwaseun ohhhh I just didn't feel so comfortable watching this particular movie because I don't actually admire the producer like that. From the days of Alakada reloaded I just don't understand any of her movies.

This review has proven by point

    1. I feel like she needs some rebranding of some sort. She has the money and experience, I wonder why she is still producing these types of movies we no get head

  7. The story no gel. What is the dread for? If she had such powers, why did she not just go do magic and pick up the hard drive herself? So Kunle Remi’s group don’t have power but what is the girls wearing black and red for? Nonsense

    1. Your observations are very right. I even thought they had spiritual powers only to find out they are empty.

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
