The Pre Wedding Getaway At The Lagos Continental Hotel.

The Pre Wedding Getaway At The Lagos Continental Hotel.

"Guy, this one you are refusing to disclose the name of the hotel you are lodging us, I hope we are safe sha." Kenneth teased Godwin.

"Ol' boy, why you dey rush na. calm down. " Godwin smiled negotiating a bend and packing right in front of The Lagos Continental Hotel.

"Here we are guys, our getaway spot for Seun's Pre-wedding getaway," Godwin announced.

"Holly Molly!  Guy, are you sure we are at the right hotel?  This place is an edifice. I have only entered here in my dreams " Kenneth said

, Godwin started the car and moved towards the gate, as a security guard approached their vehicle. After the usual security and clearance procedures, they were flagged in and directed to the parking lot.

"Omo, this place is bam oooo. " Seun, the groom-to-be remarked.

"You guys haven't seen nothing yet, wait till you see our rooms. I swear, the rooms here are spacious and modern-day equipped that you feel like moving in here permanently. The beds are King-size beds. There is free Wi-Fi connection for us to enjoy. "

"Free Wi-Fi you say? Kenneth asked surprised.

"You haven't seen anything like this hotel, trust me. The bathrooms have bathtubs where you can soak in and have a deep cleansing bath." Gideon continued his tour speech, as they picked their things from the car and headed for the reception.

A smiling face welcomed them, and they were directed to their rooms, while some hotel attendants helped with their luggage.

Godwin unlocked their room, and the boys all whistled at the sight that welcomed them. They went to the balcony where they caught a glimpse of the shining stars.
"Wow!  This is heaven on earth. " Kenneth remarked, jumping on the soft big bed.

" Who is interested in swimming tonight? " Godwin asked,
"Wait, there is a swimming pool? '' Seun asked.

"Of course."

The boys changed their outfits and went for a cold swim in the gigantic outdoor swimming pool.
After which they returned to their room, and ordered for drinks and food, which was delivered almost immediately.

The boys wined and dined till they slept off.
By morning, complimentary breakfast was brought to their room.
"If this is not enjoying life, then tell me what it is. " A well-fed Kenneth said.

"Wait till you hear the day's itinerary. " Godwin replied.

"There is more? Guy, I am happy I made you my best man. " Seun said happily.

" After we take our bath, we have a scheduled session at the spa. From there,  we would go see movies at the Silverbird Galleria, then we come back here for dinner at the Ekaabo restaurant.
We wrap it up at the bar, where we groove till your wedding calls on Saturday." Godwin announced.

The boys burst into uncontrollable laughter, as they got ready for a fun day at The Lagos Continental Hotel.

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
