Blood Vessel Movie Review

It started beautifully, no doubt about that. The beginning was engaging, howbeit, chaotic, which is understandable.

My wahala started with that scene Jidekene and his people threw that litted bottle. I expected a boom of fire.

I didn't get that. Then they now showed fire burning people. And I am like 🙄🙄🙄🙄

For someone who served in Bayelsa state, I can't speak one word of it. But I enjoyed how the non- South South cast spoke the Ijaw language well. They got the accent and all.

So how did Bimbo Manuel know that the guy that he was looking for was going to be at the market buying something? It didn't make sense. The guy sef spent years picking money on the floor

How in God's name did that shop start moving? How?

Why is Jidekene still with his igbo accent? What is Nna doing in his vocabulary? Y'all don't work with these actors to learn and unlearn.

That Oyin epistle about the python God is crap. Having another action going on at the same time just ruined that moment for her.

There is something about this movie. The continuity is silly. How did the get into those tube like things? How? What happened to the Hausa dude that chased them?

How did Abbey' sister know where to find him? I didn't see a phone with which they communicated.

In this age and time, how can you lose your phone just like that? How Olotu lost his phone is annoying.

That bonfire/snake fire scene is pretty annoying. Everything just drag.

The movie bored me.

It just wanted to get to the end

No depth whatsoever.

This movie was supposed to take the viewers through an emotional journey. But if didn't deliver.

Language was beautiful.

The fact that it was actually a movie that depicted the South South struggle, is soothing.

I loved that it wasn't your usual Igbo or Yoruba movie.

The storyline was great

Props, great.

Directing? That's where Play Network always always get it wrong.

Always.

Charles needs to get Kemi Adetiba or Biodun Stephen on his projects.

I'd give it a 3 for effort

I read that the guy Tekana guy (the one who was amputated) passed away before the movie dropped. Rip to him.

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
