LOCKDOWN: THE SERIES

The Newscaster rambled on about the rising number of people that the global pandemic, Corona virus had affected in the country despite the lockdown rule, spewing forth huge figures that would have had me in fear in days past.

But today was different. Today I wasn't concerned about getting killed by the deadly Corona virus. I was scared of getting killed while aborting my own baby.

My first child.

After suffering from what was supposedly PMS but now pregnancy symptoms for days, and practically begging my period to come, I finally summoned the courage to buy a PT strip.

And your guess was as good as mine.

I was pregnant with a child that I didn't want to keep.

In fear, I pondered how to get rid of this unwanted mess when there was a lockdown and no movement rule everywhere.

Yanking off recipes from Google, I made a concoction and drank it, laying in my bed, gnashing my teeth and crying as the first bout of pains hit my stomach so hard.

I laid there. Eyes shut as I await what would either by my death or relief...

THE WILDFLOWER MOVIE REVIEW.

Think of The Wait and how it made you feel. How it brought things you have ever seen, heard of or experienced right to you, that is exactly how you would feel with this movie. This is a movie that is a must watch if you are a mother, an elder sister, if you are connected to a female one way or the other, this movie is for you. Trust Aunty Biodun Stephen to always give you real life and realistic themes and plots. Hence the plot of this movie is so close to home that I could remember some scenarios. But the movie was dragged at so many points. If you are looking for a movie that would kick you in the punch at once, this is not that movie. This is the movie that you have take your time to go through the prolonged actions and scenes, which was caused by some actors, who unfortunately were key players. Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give. Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words??? I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water.
