Sen. Buruji Kashamu, (PDP - Ogun Central) says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will resolve the ongoing crisis rocking the party in no distant time. Kashamu spoke on Friday in Abuja on the sidelines of a media briefing to clear the air on the recent court judgement that Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff remains the party chairman. The court annulled a Federal High Court, Port Harcourt ruling which validated the National Caretaker Committee headed by Sen. Ahmed Makarfi. According to Kashamu, he is not standing between two factions, but trying to resolve issues. ''I am not between two of them; I am for peace; we are trying to resolve issues. The Pan African Parliament (PAP), the legislative organ of the African Union, on Friday commenced a two day meeting with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to find a way to end female genital mutilation and child marriages. Roger Dang, PAP President, said during the opening of the meeting in Johannesburg, said all members are in support of the move to end female genital mutilation and child marriages. "PAP is determined to help and be part of stakeholders to come up with solutions to this practice. "This is in line with the mandate of PAP to defend and promote gender balance and people living with disability," he said. Human rights lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has revealed how he rejected a N405 million from a former governor to help him launder funds abroad. Falana made this disclosure at an anti-corruption workshop in Abuja. This revelation was contained in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) monthly magazine, ALERT. Falana was quoted as saying that “The governor asked me to assist him in transferring money abroad, and that I should claim it to be proceeds from sale of his property in Nigeria. “And the price was extremely attractive. A 13 -year - old teenager surnamed Shen has been arrested after he alleged murdered three children aged 4, 7 and 8 in South China's  Guangdong  province and fled his hometown after the incident. Five days after the bodies of the three victims were found , the suspect , surnamed Shen , was later spotted by villagers some 140 kilometers away from his home . The 13 - year -old told police he had left home on July 9 after being scolded by his father . He then roamed around till July 18 , when he went to the village the three victims lived in. Seeing no adults around, he took the three kids out and asked them to tell him the whereabouts of the money and valuables in their home . However , Shen did not get the information he wanted . Indonesia has executed Michael Titus Igweh and two Nigerian drug convicts by firing squad, an official said. The Nigerians were put to death along with one Indonesian on Thursday (after midnight Indonesian time), Noor Rachmad, deputy attorney general for general crimes, told reporters. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old man, identified only as Damilola, for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on Omole Estate, in the Ojodu area of the state. It was gathered that the victim and Damilola are members of a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the victim had invited the suspect to her birthday party which held on July 19th but the suspect didn't come. According to reports,  the suspect told the  victim that he had a surprise gift for her five days after her birthday party that he missed.  The two were said to have gone to Damilola’s apartment on Otubor Street on Omole Estate. A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity said the suspect lured the victim to his house a week after her birthday party. She said, “Damilola and the lady were church friends. A 22 -year - old Russian woman named Kristina Medvedeva was beheaded on her very first date with a man she met online . Kristina , a shop assistant in the Russian city of Ekaterinburg , was seeking for love on the internet and repor tedly described her relationship status as ‘ actively searching’ on one social media site . Russian Media say she was known to be active on at least one dating website . She shared a flat with a friend , and had gone on a first date with a stranger on 24 July, the day she was murdered . Her badly mutilated body with her head almost totally severed was found on the shore of a lake close to a residential area , three days after she was last seen. Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has warned electorates in Ondo State not to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election. A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, has dissociated himself from a court action instituted by a factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu Sheriff, and others seeking to stop the party from going ahead with the August 17 national convention. Metuh, who is currently undergoing a trial for alleged corruption, said he was surprised to see his name as one of the plaintiffs in the suit seeking to halt the convention. An officer of the Nigerian Navy, Lt.-Cdr Olumide Adewale has informed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, how he helped his former boss, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, to transport money, which was flown to Akure and later handed over to Abiodun Agbele on the instructions of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State. Adewale, an ex-Aide-de-Camp to Obanikoro when the latter was the Minister of State for Defence, made this disclosure on Wednesday when he was being quized by detectives of the anti-graft agency. According to the EFCC, the money was part of the N4.7bn that was paid into Obanikoro’s sons’ company account, Sylvan McNamara, on the instructions of the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.). Adewale, who was in charge of Obanikoro’s security for about a year, told the EFCC that everything he did was under the strict instructions of his boss. Former PDP Chairman , Ali Modu Sheriff , has approached the Federal High Court Abuja to apply for an order of interlocutory injunction restraining PDP National Caretaker committee and INEC from holding the party’s National Conventio n in Port Harcourt , Rivers state on August 17 th. Sheriff , in the suit , is also seeking the court to grant an ancillary order compelling the police to enforce the interlocutory injunction if granted . No date has been fixed for hearing of the case . Jungle Justice is defined as the CAPITAL PUNISHMENT meted out by individuals without any legal authority on a suspected individual. Now that we know what jungle justice means,  I will like to go straight to my point without further Ado.  I have noticed that this form of justice is frequent particularly in this country.  In Nigeria,  we believe we can take the lives of people suspected of one crime or the other without due judicial or legal process. A man has been stoned and set ablaze in Gboko area of Benue State for allegedly stealing a three-month-old baby. The man reportedly stole the baby, belonging to a certain Blessing Aondoakaa, from a house situated at Bristow roundabout on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect was said to be on his way to Anambra State when nemesis caught up with him. According to a resident, “We just heard the baby’s mother screaming ‘thief, thief’ and we came out only to see the boy running with the baby. “Some boys in the area collected the baby and started beating him while the others were looking for tyre and calling more people to come out. “He was begging and crying but the other boys did not listen.
