REWRITING LOVE




I used to write my love stories,

To include you, us, love songs, destination places, dinner dates,

 Candle nights, and naked bodies under rumpled sheets.

Tear-brimmed eyes, sleepless nights, nostalgic memories, and a shattered heart, were all i got from you. 

Now, I am making a U-turn,

Rewriting love to suit my whims and wills,

Not trying to force you to feature in my love story.

Now, I am rewriting my love story to feature just me,

Just me loving Myself the way I should be loved,

Just me going on trips and creating sweet memories,

Just me listening to songs by Ric Hassani and Chike,

Just me enjoying a sweet dinner at my favorite restaurant,

Just me falling in love with the girl named ME!!!

A common tradition in Swaziland (Swazi) permits the King, Mswati, to choose a new bride every year. This is done in a festival named Swazi Reed Dance Festival where girls are paraded and tested publicly to know their virginity status. Ijakumo Movie Review

  Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed.
