DOCTOR LOVE

You stare at the screen of your office desktop for several minutes, not knowing which way forward.

You don't know if you should send the document and get it done with or wait till tomorrow and update before you send.

You sighed for the 30th time since you finished working on the marketing report you were meant to forward to your boss.

You sigh again once more before you finally made up your mind to leave the report till the next day. You saved your progress and lifted your head to see how the sales girls were doing.

Then you saw him. Cute face that had stress written all over it, tall frame and a lean body that looked like it needed a lot of food.

And food he was going to have. At least, you were going to make sure that he bought enough food to help him replenish his obviously depleted stamina.

"hi, is anyone attending to you yet?', you asked him as you stood from the chair and walked towards him.

"Not yet", his face lit him in an attempt to smile, but the stress was winning the battle as his face fell back.

"Oh! so sorry, how may we serve you please?"

"Ermmm, 3 spoons of ofada rice, 1 barbecue chicken, and salad." He reeled out his order as he scanned the foods in the bay marine.

"Stressful day, huh?", You gave him a smile as you dish his food.

"You wouldn't imagine it..." He replied. Those fours words would come back to haunt you years after that fateful afternoon.

"What do you do? Tech?", You asked because everyone was in tech these days and they are always tired if not busy.

"Nope, I am a doctor.."

"Oh, nice! What drink would you like to have?' you ask as you walk to the microwave to heat up his food. That was the end of the conversation for you.

You don't like doctors. You have hung out with a few to know that things hardly end well with them.

It is either they have a fellow doctor lady kept somewhere while they gbensh your kpekus by the side or they are too promiscuous to stick to one woman. That's gist for another story time.

"Water. Just water."

"Alrighty." You go to get the bottled water, setting it on a tray before adding the cutlery set.

"You are so beautiful...", It came out as a whisper, like something he planned saying to himself but also hoping that you heard....

And you heard....

You didn't plan to impress him. Nopity nope. That wasn't the plan.

You just saw a tired hungry man and wanted to have him fed quickly before he fainted.

But now that he is looking interested in you, you couldn't help but check him out well too.

Beneath his tired frame stood a very handsome man that ticked most of your boxes on first appearance.

"Thank you. Your bill is 3,650. Can you Kindly move over there to make your payment?",

He moves to the tilling machine to make his payment, while yiu had his food placed on the tray before he came back.

He said his thanks and left to eat.

You forgot about him totally the second he moved away. You were used to having guys moon over you at work, but it never got any serious-er than the compliments and the smiles you gave in return.

You didn't think this was going to be any different until standing in front of you a couple of minutes after, was the dude asking you on a date!!!

To be continued...

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
