President Muhammadu Buhari met with Yakubu Dogara without Senator Saraki.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of Representatives have reportedly met behind closed doors.
According to reports, the meeting between the pair is likely to be centred around the controversial budget which has generated widespread criticisms by Nigerians.
President Buhari has refused to pass the budget because of the grey areas in the document despite the fact that it has since been passed by the National Assembly.
Senate president, Bukola Saraki, was reportedly left out of the 30-minute meeting which had chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari and the senior special assistant to the president on National Assembly matters (Senate), Ita Enang in attendance.
After the meeting, Kyari told journalists that the Speaker would not give details of the meeting because only one of the leaders of the National Assembly visited instead of both of them.
Journalists were also prevented from coming close to Dogara after the meeting as Enang also refused to make any comment on the meeting.
