'Don’t dump PDP' - BoT Chairman begs members.

The acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin, has begged to members planning to decamp to have a change of heart.

He made the appeal in Abuja on Thursday, April 28, at the party’s 70th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

While he acknowledged that the party has made some bad choices, he said leaving the party is not the solution.

"Many of us who are founding members of PDP will not leave the PDP and the PDP will never die. We will continue to be in PDP," Jibrin said.

"Whatever mistake that is there in the party, we must be there to correct it and make our contribution, leaving PDP is not the answer.

"I will like to appeal to everyone who intends to leave PDP to stop that, we must unite and all work together in order to build PDP.

"PDP is within a very good marking and I do not think I see anything wrong with PDP.

"Every party has its own problems and we should use our own problems positively.

"Am sure soon, the whole problem in PDP will be resolved," he assured.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, said that as the national convention approaches, it is expected that there would be disagreements.

He urged members to resolve such disagreements without delay.

"So I like to appeal to our party men and women that we must find a way of resolving our differences in the best interest of our party.

"PDP is the only party in Nigeria which we can say belongs to everybody and to nobody.

"The time is now for us to make sacrifices and to show compromise so that the party will remain strong.

"It is also a time for us to show alternative to what is going on in the country currently, so that Nigerians can trust us again with governance in 2019," Ekweremadu said.

Speaking on behalf of PDP Governors' Forum, Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo , pledged the loyalty of the forum to the decision of the NEC of the party.

"Any Office Holder Coming Into Office To Loot Money is Mad" - VP Osinbajo

Vice President President Yemi Osinbajo says that it is madness for people in positions like President Buhari and himself to come into office and look for money to loot. A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande , quotes Osinbajo as saying this while receiving a delegation of Christian Ministers Welfare Initiative also known as the Pastors ’ Forum , Taraba State , at the Presidential Villa , Abuja yesterday. “ This morning, I had a meeting with the President and he repeated to me twice, he said ‘ at my age , there is only one thing I am looking for , I want to see a great Nigeria . ’ He has no other objective and I feel very inspired by that . It is madness for anybody in our position to be looking for money. According to him , God put people in a position of authority for them to be able to do something for their people. I think if any Nigerian gets the chance to be President of the country , there is nothing he / she is looking for anymor...

THE WILDFLOWER MOVIE REVIEW.

Think of The Wait and how it made you feel. How it brought things you have ever seen, heard of or experienced right to you, that is exactly how you would feel with this movie.  This is a movie that is a must watch if you are a mother, an elder sister, if you are connected to a female one way or the other, this movie is for you. Trust Aunty Biodun Stephen to always give you real life and realistic themes and plots. Hence the plot of this movie is so close to home that I could remember some scenarios. But the movie was dragged at so many points. If you are looking for a movie that would kick you in the punch at once, this is not that movie. This is the movie that you have take your time to go through the prolonged actions and scenes, which was caused by some actors, who unfortunately were key players. Anyway, overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Plot is cool. Directing is cool. Delivery wasn't perfect for a lot to cast, even the top ones. Everyone was just at their relaxed mood, whic...

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...
