Amber Heard’s lawyer is furious over the allegation that she is trying to blackmail Johnny Depp with her
domestic violence accusation.
After Heard, reportedly filed in court that Depp, had assaulted her during an argument on Saturday, May 21, 2016, a close friend of Depp's, Doug Stanhope, in an explosive write up, has alleged that Heard is setting up the actor.
Adding that he had spent May 21 at the couple's home, shortly before Heard had made the domestic violence report, he also said the actor had disclosed to him that the actress planned to blackmail him.
Stanhope wrote:
"We assumed initially that his dour mood was because of his mother's death the day before. But he opened up in the most vulnerable of ways that it was not only his mother, but that Amber was now going to leave him, threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every possible duplicitous way if he didn't agree to her terms. Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified."
However, Heard’s lawyer slammed the write up, saying it is a false allegation on his client.
“Allegations against Ms. Heard are absolutely and unequivocally false.”
Addressing Stanhope’s blackmail claim, he said it “has no basis in reality and is nothing but the typical celebrity muckraking for profit.”
