"I Am Married To Jesus" - Actress Steph Nora Okere

Nollywood actress Steph Nora Okere has relocated to Ibadan temporarily for the completion of her upcoming TV series.

The actress who was recently honoured by City People revealed why her weddi
ng was cancelled about 10 years ago and why she is still single.
In her words:

"Right now, I’m shooting a new series, Broken Heart in Ibadan that is coming out soon. It is my latest work. I only left the set to come down here to receive my Award from City People because I value this Award so much.

"I was in the process of getting married but ended up not getting married. Where I come from, there is the process of marriage when you start the process, the Ibo people will go and make research on the other person’s background and If they find out negative things about the man or woman’s family, that means they will put an immediate stop to the marriage. That was what happened in my own case.

"I was never married but the Press got me married to Lanre Falana. I was involved in a marriage process which got truncated along the line.

"Marriage begins with paying the woman’s dowry, traditional and white wedding. All these did not take place. My family didn’t support marrying a man who kept one woman in one place and plans keeping another one in another place. I attend Catholic church and the marriage process in Catholic, begins with the intended couples tendering a marriage certificate issued by a court to the church. This was the main reason we were in court in the first place.

"We were not living together, we had an Introduction where his family and mine were introduced to each other only. This was the beginning of our problem. For us to discover that we were not compatible. Our court marriage was in July and he went abroad in September only for him to be back a year and half later.

" It has not been easy. You hardly can differentiate between a man who truly wants you as a woman because he feels for you, or one who wants to be seen with a known actress. Some men can go as far as taking a bet over you because you are a known actress. But when a good man comes around, I will settle with him. However, my Bible has not told me I can not make heaven as a single woman.

"1  hope to marry again when a good man comes but for now I am married to Jesus.

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

FLAWS AND DENTS (Fiction)

FLAWS AND DENTS "Will you marry me? " he asked,  on a bent knee, a wide grin spread across his mouth. Fiona stopped sipping her margarita, her hand stuck on her straw as I gaze at him in shock. He gazed back at her , waiting earnestly for her response. She bent her head as tears welled up in her eyes. One, two they dropped and before she knew it,  the floodgates opened. Her shoulders shook as the tears came cascading down her face. He quickly stood from where he knelt and rushed to her side. "Honey,  why the tears?  Talk to me,  why are you crying?  You know you can talk to me about anything?  What did I do wrong? " He begged as he held her face and tried to wipe her face with his handkerchief. "Baby.... " She started as another bout of tears took over her. "Honey,  these tears are killing me.  I can't stand seeing you like this anymore. Please talk to me,  I beg of you. " She tried to steady her whirling emotions as ...
