We have so many food and snack in this country that we either eat singularly or together as the case may be. There are some you can just manage to blend them together just for managing sakes but there are some that their match is made in heaven. Their combination is terrifically mind blowing... Lol.. Don't mind me, I don't like food like that like that oooo but some of these delicacies always burst my Dada... #winks.
1. Gala and La Casera : This is the first combo that renders almost if not all Nigerians defenseless in the food section. You know what I Mean. Nearly all Nigerians cannot do without this combo while travelling or when stuck in a gridlock. Gala and La Casera be saving Nigerian Travellers since 1745..lol.
2. Agege Bread and Hot Akara : in some part of the country, this combo is the dinner of so many single men and women in the country, most don't bother cooking as long as they get a hold of these two delicacies together, they are satisfied. And it's noticeable to see that every Akara seller also sell bread.
3. Garri (Cassava Flakes), Groundnut, Sugar and Chilled water: This particular combo has been saving Nigerians since way way back I can't remember... Lol.. One is useless without the other. Growing up then in Lagos, that was lunch for us. It was the perfect solution to our stressful day at school... Lol.. Even till now, some person prefer taking it before eating proper lunch.
4. Fried Yam and Fried Akara : Despite the fact that these two are not from same family, they still find a way to blend very well in the mouth. Some persons like eating it together so that they can be very satisfied. Lol.
5. Roasted Corn and Ube( African Pear) : I don't know how to explain this one because the fulfillment this combo brings ehn, its legendary. I can't think of a better partner for roasted corn than the Ube.
6. Boli(Roasted Plantain) and Epa (roasted groundnut) : this combo ehn is amazing. It's mind blowing. It's everything.
7. Pap and Akara: this is one combo Nigerians don't joke with especially my Yoruba people. To some Yoruba people, this is the perfect breakfast.
8. Garri and Suya: Nigerians have refused to see Suya (Barbecue / grilled beef) as something to just keep the mouth busy, instead they have blended both delicacies to make dinner. If an average Nigerian takes both, he is satisfied for the night.
9. Eko (Agidi or Solidified Pap. Lol) and Moin Moin : Hmmmmmmmm... This combo is kingly. If you think I am lying, ask any Oyo or Osun man. The fact that one is cold and the other is either warm or hot strikes a delicious balance between then. It's heavenly satisfying, trust me (lick lips).
10. Ewa Agoyin and Agege Bread : In some parts of Lagos, the Ewa Agoyin delicacy is their breakfast, they would rather not eat anything than not eat Ewa Agoyin. I don't know if it's that pot they hawk it in that does it for me or the food itself but I know I am crazy about it.. There is a reason I specifically said Agege bread is the best accomplice for the mashed beans, trust me, sliced bread can't do the trick. There is no way you can try to funkify and tush the thing, Agege bread is the best bread to eat mashed beans.
