Army clears Boko Haram spiritual headquarters, rescues 567 hostages.

The village of Alagarno in Borno State which is known as the spiritual headquarters of Boko Haram has been visited and ransacked by the Nigerian Army.

They achieved the feat after weeks of coordinated clearance operations between ground forces and the Nigerian Airforce in neighbouring villages.

The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor disclosed this at a news conference in Maiduguri.
He said that 567 civilians held hostage were also freed and several weapons recovered.

According to the commander, troops in the theatre have been conducting clearing operations on a daily basis aimed at destroying the terrorists still staying in some local government areas and rescue people still in captivity.

He also said troops of 81 task force battalion conducted preliminary operations in Boko Haram camps in Kumala, Dole, Kumasi and Moudire villages all around the fringes before launching into Alagarno.

The 27 Task Force Brigade also conducted series of operations leading to the recovery of an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) snatched by the terrorists in July 2015, the General said.

It was gathered that the APC which is now unserviceable and partially burnt by fleeing insurgents was discovered near a riverbed in Bolgore and has since been moved to an unknown destination in Yobe State.

Irabor stressed that the recently released supposed video of Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, where he called on his followers to surrender did not stop the troops assault on the terrorists' hideouts.
“Our gallant troops are determined to completely wipe out all terrorists from our country,” he maintined.

The Theatre Command of Operation Lafiya Dole also sent out a warning to repentant Boko Haram members hoping to filter into liberated towns where locals are returning to reintegrate back into their communities.

Irabor warned returning locals against harbouring and giving criminals cover, while advising repentant terrorists to turn themselves in to security operatives.

“Report yourself to the security agencies and the process would be followed. The assurance I am giving to every one of them is that they would be humanely treated in accordance with the best practices which is a component of our rules of engagement,” he said.

He listed Kumshe, Kalabalge, Mainati, Yoyo and Kikinuwa among villages successfully captured by home troops in conjunction with the Multinational Joint Task Force with
little resistance from the weakened terrorists.

THE WILDFLOWER MOVIE REVIEW.

Think of The Wait and how it made you feel. How it brought things you have ever seen, heard of or experienced right to you, that is exactly how you would feel with this movie.  This is a movie that is a must watch if you are a mother, an elder sister, if you are connected to a female one way or the other, this movie is for you. Trust Aunty Biodun Stephen to always give you real life and realistic themes and plots. Hence the plot of this movie is so close to home that I could remember some scenarios. But the movie was dragged at so many points. If you are looking for a movie that would kick you in the punch at once, this is not that movie. This is the movie that you have take your time to go through the prolonged actions and scenes, which was caused by some actors, who unfortunately were key players. Anyway, overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Plot is cool. Directing is cool. Delivery wasn't perfect for a lot to cast, even the top ones. Everyone was just at their relaxed mood, whic...

King Of Swazi chooses Wife, Publicly Test Girls' Virginity As They Dance Naked. (Photos)

A common tradition in Swaziland (Swazi) permits the King, Mswati, to choose a new bride every year. This is done in a festival named Swazi Reed Dance Festival where girls are paraded and tested publicly to know their virginity status. It has been a long time tradition in Swaziland and not the first time this controversial issue is making it into the news. Although, many consider this barbaric and backward, it’s a tradition the people willingly embrace as the aim is to help King Mswati choose a wife. As part of Swazi custom and norms, that time of the year has come, when the King chooses his bride and again, he has reportedly tested some of the volunteered girls’ virginity before choosing a wife for himself. Thousands of pretty virgins’ were seen in this year’s edition dancing topless for King Mswati III, on what is called the Reed Dance ceremony, also known as Umhlanga), hoping to be his next wife. The Reed Dance ceremony is an annual Swazi and Zulu tradition hel...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...
