Managing Director of Lekki Garden Homes,
Robert Nyong and the contractor of the project, Taiwo Odofin, have been granted bail based on self-recognition by The Chief Magistrate of the Ebute-Meta Magistrate Court.
The contractor was granted bail in the like sum of N10M with two sureties in like sum.
On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, a five storey building collapsed in the highbrow
Lekki Gardens estate, and 35 people reportedly died.
Mrs, Botoku also asked Nyong and Odofin to submit their International passports
to the court, adding that they were not allowed to travel out of the country till
all investigations have been concluded
and that they should report to the State
