The Study Of Medicine remains 7 Years.

As against the controversial 11 years suggested for the duration of the study of medicine in the university, the National Universities Commission NUC, has said the required duration for the study of medicine in the university is 7 years.

This was made known on Monday, by Prof. Chiedu Mariana, NUC's Executive Director, Quality Assurance. He said that each and every student studying medicine must have a first degree in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Biochemistry.

His words;

“Another basic requisite is that there must be clinical skill
laboratory, whereby in teaching, students would use mannequins, dolls, to
simulate diseases.
