Thugs, Police and Soldiers unleash terror on Delta community

Reports coming to us now is that Suspected thugs, a team of police officers and men of the Nigerian army
from the 19th Battalion have rained terror on Ekpan community in Koko,
Warri North Local Government Area (LGA), Delta state.

The thugs and security men were said to be working on the orders of the
state governor, governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The report said the attack was aimed at targeting supporters and loyalists
of Henry Baro, the former Chairman of the Uvwie Local Government
Council, who has been engaged in a political battle with Mr. Okowa and the
State House of Assembly Speaker, Monday Igbuya.

Persons listed as those fueling the crisis are principal secretary to governor
Okowa, Hillary Obi Ibegbulem, Warri North Constituency in the Delta state
House Of Assembly member Michael Diden (alias “Ejele”), chairman of the
Uvwie Council, Stella Dabunor Otiotio, and Delta state commissioner for
local government and chieftaincy affairs Bright Edejevwrho.

“At all costs, the governor and his hatchet men
want Baro’s supporters to go down. He is using
his Principal Secretary Hillary Obi Ibegbulem to
cause crisis in the Ekpan community.

Governor
Okowa is a big disappointment and a disgrace;
he has failed to settle a crisis that was initiated
between the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekpan
before the last governor’s primary election in
2015,” an indigene was quoted.

The report said the terror attack was organized under the guise of an
operation to apprehend illegal weapons.

Sista Movie Review

The opening scene did me in. I read somewhere that the first few 5 minutes of a movie determines if it is worth it.  Trust me, Sista movie hooked me in less than 5 minutes. I loved the straight to the point opening. No show of the Third Mainland Bridge. No lazy show of Lagos traffic. Nothing. Also, the past/present sequence made crazy sense.  Seeing Kehinde Bankole in that role is refreshing, it's not what she is used to, but she did well. Chimezie was quite not in character, or maybe he didn't bond with Ade Herself. I don't know. He is better than what I saw him act here. As usual Aunty Ronke Oshodi Oke gave it her all. This Tope Owokoniran babe tried with her Hausa accent. I love it!!! I think this is the best of her I have seen so far. I'd say this is a movie Aunty Biodun Stephen put her everything to make. This is a beautiful work of art. I love every piece of it. The story line is dope. Directing is flawless. The fun part was that even though It was predictable f...

Ijakumo Movie Review

Whatever this movie was set to give, it didn't give.  Even the stripping is not giving. Why is the Sharon girl sex talking like she is doing spoken words???  I liked the babe in "Listening Ears", but I feel she is not 'mature' enough theatrically for this role. Wait, what I noticed was that Toyin and her crew didn't know there was a girl who looks like the Sharon girl in his church. A very crazy error that no director should make. If they had come in with this, maybe the finding out they were twin bla BLA BLA suspense would suspense well. But as the director or script writer were very myopic, the twin shii didn't hold water. If they had said or showed that they picked the Ugandan girl because she looked like the Nigerian girl in his church, e for make perfect sense. Seriously, I am miffed. The only thing that thrilled me was Kunle Remi and his lines. O mard gan. 🤣🤣🤣 "Emi mimo ni kin gbenu sohun". 🤣🤣🤣 "So, idi Uganda lo Fe baye mi j...

The Black Book Movie Review

Chaos is what you get when you try to film movies like Hollywood without doing your homework well.  That kidnapping scene is one of the most chaotic and unorganized crime scenes ever. Like WTH!! Moving on, we have RMD and Olumide bonding that didn't give the vibes they were gunning for. Then the scene where Sam Dede called Bimbo Akintola on the phone asking who he should kill. Please what's the job of the two police men that were present at the scene? What's their work? Are they aesthetics? I expected them to go close to her immediately they realized she was communicating with the kidnappers. No, they stood like they were visitors checking family album. Mchew. It was after the conversation has ended that the soldier guy came to stand in front of her - like a mannequin.  Another thing, choice of soundtrack was shitty. What's "omo mi Seun rere" doing in that beach scene. I am rolling my eyes. All those half half conversations that were flying up and down, na r...
